Unforgettable experience with incredible service
During our stay at Bamboo Rio, we were blown away by the warm and welcoming staff. They went above and beyond to ensure we had an unforgettable experience in Rio de Janeiro. The location was perfect, just a short walk to the beaches and shopping street. The hostel offered various room options, and our accommodations were clean, comfortable, and equipped with efficient air conditioning. The showers and toilets were well-maintained, and the fast Wi-Fi allowed us to stay connected throughout our stay. The organized staff provided us with invaluable information about the city and its attractions. We loved spending time at the bar, where we enjoyed delicious caipirinhas during the lively happy hour. Although there were a few minor inconveniences, such as limited power points in the room and busy shared bathrooms, the overall experience more than made up for it. We highly recommend Bamboo Rio for an excellent stay in Rio de Janeiro.

Adjacent lounge with books to borrow: While staying at this hostel, I discovered a hidden gem - the adjacent lounge with books to borrow. It was like stepping into a literary wonderland, where I could lose myself in captivating stories and fascinating worlds. It provided a cozy and relaxing space to unwind after a day of exploring the vibrant streets of Rio de Janeiro.
Bathrooms on the first floor could use a scrubbing.

The location was spot on, just a short walk to the beach and in a safe neighborhood. the staff were friendly and always ready to help with any questions or advice. the common areas had a great atmosphere, making it easy to meet and chat with other guests. the spacious private room had everything we needed, including a comfortable bed, a TV, and even a couch. One of the highlights was the included breakfast with a variety of delicious options.
The occasional water outage during showers, which was a bit inconvenient. the hostel could benefit from better soundproofing, as the bar area next to the private rooms made it challenging to get to sleep early.
